The Hostal Besaya is not “The Ritz” but it is a very clean room in a safe neighborhood and great location with kind and helpful staff. The gentleman at the front desk was very kind and friendly. The beds were comfortable (albeit a little squeaky) and the linens were very clean. The room was very small but spotlessly clean. I wasn’t sure what I was getting into here and was ready to leave despite having committed to the room. I saw the reasonable price, in a great area and 4 stars and hit “Book”. I booked the Hostal Besaya by mistake, by not wearing my glasses and who knew that also has hostals on it? We were going to be there just for a few hours before leaving at 5am for the airport. Truth be told, I am not a hostel kind of person (high maintenance, if I’m really being honest here).
